Swell
Thirty-eight lines of a building swell in black on bone. Each line thickens as it nears the crest and thins as it falls away, so the print shifts weight as the bag moves.

Tide Lines
Depth contours of a sea floor that doesn't exist, generated line by line. Every sixth line is brass, the way a nautical chart marks its key depths. This is the Kai in KAIVRE: the sea.

KAIVRE joins two words. Kai is the sea. Oeuvre is a body of work. The brand began on the Southern California coast with a builder who works in wood, CNC and 3D printing, and wanted a bag treated like a made object instead of merchandise.
