KAIVRE joins two words. Kai is the sea. Oeuvre is a body of work.
It started on the Southern California coast, in a workshop where most days go to wood, a CNC machine and a 3D printer. Things made there are made to be kept: a tray cut from walnut, a part printed and printed again until it fits. KAIVRE takes that habit and applies it to the bag you carry every day.
The Seam
Every KAIVRE bag is crossed by a diagonal band we call the Seam. It carries the wordmark large and your number small. It is how you know a KAIVRE bag from across a street, and how you know which one is yours.
Made once
Each design meets each bag exactly once: one hundred numbered pieces, then never printed again. We would rather retire a design that people love than water it down.
Made to order
Your bag is printed, cut and sewn after you order it, by a production partner we chose for print quality, and shipped straight to you. Nothing sits in a warehouse, and nothing is made that no one asked for.
